About The Common Room

Feeling disconnected? Asking yourself, is this all there is?

Small talk, swiping, networking events. The Common Room doesn’t work like that. Local clubs across Australia built for real conversation, genuine connection, and actually getting to know each other. For free.

Run by local volunteers who genuinely want to meet people. Find a group doing something you love, sign up and turn up. That’s it.

Turn up and Connect

The most important bit — turn up and get involved!

All your questions, answered.

How much does it cost?

Zilch. Nada. We don’t want your money, we just want you to turn up and get connected to others. We’re a not-for-profit, and we exist to connect likeminded GenZ’s who want to move beyond small talk, explore life’s purpose, meaning, God and the things that matter in life.

Is this a Christian thing?

We’re a Christian not-for-profit, but our clubs are not ‘Christian Clubs’. Far from it, we welcome Gen Z’s from all walks of life. So come as you are. We just know community and connection is super important in an increasingly isolated world.

Help! There's no groups in my area.

We are starting new clubs constantly, and if there’s a bunch of people looking for the same club in a specific location — we’re likely to spin one up there, so get in touch and let us know what you’re looking for and where.
